The youngest cryptocurrency billionaire, Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin donated $1 billion to fight Covid-19 in India. The developer has transferred 500 ETH and over 50 trillion Shiba Inu tokens worth about $1.14 billion to the India COVID-Crypto Relief fund at the time of the transaction.
Buterin also sent $336 million worth of Ethereum and Dogelon Mars to the Methuselah Foundation, a non-profit organization that develops tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. In addition, the creator of the largest altcoin in terms of capitalization sent more than 13 thousand ETH for $54 million to Givewell, which oversees charitable foundations around the world.
Another billionaire donated funds to Gitcoin (helps developers of open source projects), MIRI (creates safe artificial intelligence), and the Charter Cities Institute (is developing an idea for a new kind of cities that will lift tens of millions of people out of poverty).
