[Taklimakan Blog] Hackers Stole NFT Tokens from the Nifty Gateway Marketplace
Attackers were able to steal thousands of US dollars worth of non-fungible tokens, but the developers of Nifty Gateway do not confirm the fact of the hack
An online non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace called Nifty Gateway has been attacked. This is reported by Vice concerning the victims of the attack.
Marketplace users report the theft of NFT tokens in the amount of tens of thousands of US dollars. In some cases, the amount of theft exceeded hundreds of thousands of US dollars. Nifty Gateway admits the fact of interception of some accounts, but there is no evidence of hacking yet, the developers said.
“We have not seen any signs of compromising the platform,” said representatives of the marketplace.
At the same time, Nifty Gateway noticed that none of the victims used two-factor authentication. The stolen digital art tokens are reportedly being transferred to other accounts on the Ethereum network and resold on Discord servers.
